Rosa 'Flower Carpet Red' is a bright cherry-red groundcover shrub rose bred by Werner Noack and released by Noack Roses as a color addition to the groundbreaking Flower Carpet series. Like the original pink founding cultivar, 'Flower Carpet Red' sends out arching canes that spread a meter or more across low mounded plants, carrying abundant clusters of small bright red semi-double blooms continuously from late spring to heavy frost. The series' trademark qualities remain: outstanding resistance to black spot and powdery mildew with no spraying, tolerance of heat, drought, pollution, and cold into USDA zone 5, and the ability to bloom continuously without deadheading.

Widely used for slope stabilization, mass landscape plantings, and large containers; the smaller plant size suits informal garden edges. Bred by Werner Noack in Germany and introduced by Anthony Tesselaar as part of the Flower Carpet series expansion in the 1990s.

Extends the Flower Carpet color range to vivid red for American landscape designs.
